A New York fixture since 1924, the Gramercy Park Hotel underwent a major renovation in 2006 courtesy of hotelier Ian Schrager. With rich Bohemian décor and custom furnishings designed by Julian Schnabel, this 185-room hotel is decked out in rich jewel tones and is a true New York experience.
Rooms boast new takes on old traditions: instead of a mini-bar, you'll be treated to a mahogany English drinking cabinet; rooms come with iPods complete with pre-loaded playlists, and even the hotel's entrance is inviting with smoked wood beams, Moroccan tile floors, and a 10-foot-high fireplace. An added bonus here is key access to the otherwise private Gramercy Park.
